Here's the good news. Our long national nightmare is nearly over. No, we're not talking about the Presidential Primary. Because the first album release by Milo Maffit is nearly here.
Keyboardist Nick Milo has performed with a variety of artists including Tower Of Power and Maria Muldaur. He is currently the music director for Joe Cocker. Nick and Rocky started composing songs together in New York City with the intention that the songs would be for other artists. In the process they developed a musical collaboration that was a creative end in itself.
The album All The Lost Angels was created across time and time zones, continents and countries, in hotel rooms and spaghetti-wired recording studios, bedrooms and dark vocal caves.
Along the way Milo and Maffit discovered a method of making music with a cast of international musicians and friends that could never be assembled in one location. This required not just great musicianship, but great trust. And, of course, high speed Internet.
The album will be available as a stereo compact disc and digital download through all the usual outlets. There will also be a deluxe edition which features solo piano interpretations of many of the songs.
Watch for information about the album, live appearances and more in the coming weeks.
